Did any other fashion lovers out there shop the Prabal Gurung x Target collaboration that launched on February 10th (and which proved to be highly popular)? The headliner pieces are long gone, but there are still some finds like this flared A-line floral graphic print skirt. It’s classically flattering, and is a fun throwback to the full-skirted silhouette from some fifty years ago. I built an entire black and white palette around it and brought it all together with a pink blazer.
[Prabal Gurung x Target skirt, H&M blazer, Kate Spade bag, Naturalizer shoes]
I continued my ‘garden’ theme with floral accessories; a black floral and feather headband from Forever21 and a tiered black and clear crystal necklace from Bebe that came with with a removable, easy-breezy ‘corsage’ pin.
Kate Spade bags are beautiful, with their playful, feminine touches. I fell in love with this bag because of the grosgrain bow jauntily perched on top of the bag, curled around the chain. This bag is no longer being sold, but you can find a similar option here, and tie a short, square scarf around the chain to get an approximate look.
The trapezoidal, tapered shape of the bag nicely echoes the flared shape of the A-line skirt. Having a tucked-in top and tapered jacket keeps the look tailored and from looking overly voluminous.
TGIF all, have a lovely weekend!
Love how the blazer pops against the black/white! 🙂
Gotta love those designer-for-Target items!!
Hi Pearlin, thanks! Yeah, I’ve always loved bright colors and now that they’re so readily available everywhere, I’ve been stocking up on colorful blazers that instantly dress up a simple/neutral-toned outfit. 🙂
You know, I haven’t always kept up with the Target designer collections, but when I do take a look at them, there’s some pretty fun finds. Have you been a fan of any specific designer release?
[…] I enjoy the similarity in quilting patterns between the boots and the bag. (See more details about the bag when I showcased it here.) […]
