Happy holidays, my dear readers!!!! This has been a whirlwind season, full of traveling adventures, wonderful people, and amazing experiences. To celebrate the season and show you a bit of the world through my eyes, I am beyond thrilled to offer my first travelogue video, which features festive London!
London is a gorgeous city, full of historic charm, modern architecture, warm people, and eye-catching sights in every direction you look. This is what I took in over a few days, armed with my trusty 5D Mark III. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I loved (and painstakingly pored over) putting it together!
Special thanks to co-owners Sandia Chang and James Knappett (head chef) of Kitchen Table for a remarkably fun, stunningly diverse, and lively (both in flavors and my companions) dinner. Thank you for so graciously accommodating my last-minute call-in!
Also, warmest thanks to Clare Smyth (lead chef) and Elizabeth of L’Atlier de Joel Robuchon for serendipitously giving me both an amazing dinner companion and so many finely-executed, luxurious, and highly-photogenic dishes; Le Sphere was the most beautiful and skillfully-made dessert that I’ve ever had.
Both restaurants are highly recommended, should you have an opportunity to splurge and treat yourself in London.

Looks like an amazing place to check out around the hoildays, yet alone any time of the year. I love all the Christmas trees and the reindeer, that’s super awesome, always wanted to see one in person, silly right? I love the video, the hotels look simply amazing to stay at.
I am totally living vicariously through this at the moment. I would love to visit and “splurge myself” in London right about now!

I’ve always wanted to go to London! it looks like such a beautiful place.
I went to London once when I was 13 but was too excited to hang out with the older kids in my group that I totally ignored all of the amazing things to see there! I am planning to take a trip to Europe in a couple of years so I will look into some of these places. I love that this is in video form–everything looks so fun!

I have always wanted to go to London and see some of the popular tourist attractions like Big Ben, the eye, and Buckingham Palace. I watch a lot of British movies and television, and I just fell in love with the city and the history. It is on my bucket list for sure!

My cousin had a lot of trips in London and I never even step foot on the place. I do know it is super wonderful and such a beautiful place. I do hope in the future I would be able to get a chance on it… hopefully! I bet the whole experience would be so wonderful.

OOh joel robuchon is on my list of places to go in vegas. π Looks like you had a wonderful trip to London. We’ve been once before, but I didn’t really love it. We did a lot of touristy things and we packed the days in pretty tight which is not my normal travel style. Maybe we’ll have to give it another chance. π
Wow! London really looks like a must-visit place. I am in love with its historic charm and architecture. I know that seeing videos and pictures won’t be enough to appreciate its beauty. Would you know any good restaurant and hotel to stay in if budget is tight?
I love London and have had the opportunity to visit several times. Love the food and have had great meals and lots of wonderful long walks!

I really loved seeing the video. That was really neat that you caught a proposal on camera. I thought the Live Snow Globe was really neat. London does have a lot of history and I would love to see it one day. I love the old architecture and even the new is very intriguing. It looks like towards the end there was maybe Christmas markets? That would be really neat to see.
