Your skin withstands an entire gamut of external environmental stresses. Now that it’s winter, you’re probably being exposed to a range of harsh elements that can include chilly temperatures, biting winds, and dryness from electric heating systems.
I can’t stress enough how important it is to be attentive to your skin’s needs and take care of it on a daily basis. Now is a perfect time to review your regime and update it, if desired, so I’m excited share my evening skincare best practices!
Since your skin rejuvenates and repairs itself at night as you sleep, you want to give it as much help as possible by implementing a formula of protection, moisturizing, and cell regeneration. There’s not a single miracle product that can do it all, but you can best protect your skin with a complementing set of products. And just like a cooking recipe or science experiment, the application sequence is important; I’ll recommend one that will maximize the collective effect of the products you use.

The products I used in my tutorial are:
- Equitance Brightening Serum and Spot Corrector: improves dark discolorations, skin brightness and radiance
- Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum: provides a wide range of functions targeted to your skin’s needs, including: inflammation reduction, line minimizing, skin brightening, and deep moisturizing
- : stimulates skin cell renewal to reduce age spots, smooths, and moisturizes
- Authentic Skin Enrich Nourishing Lipid Serum: locks in a protective barrier for all of the previous ingredients, and highly moisturizes and plumps. Added advantage: smells like a luxurious spa experience!
What does your winter evening skincare regime look like? Do you have any thoughts about the brands and products I used? As you can see, I’m not a one-brand kind of gal; I believe that there are unique benefits to each one, and my goal is to find the best, most effective combination of everything that’s available to me!

Thanks for the tutorial! I’ve learned a lot about skin care! ๐
This is great! I get pretty confused when it comes to the order of things. Pinning this for sure. Thank you!
Great routine! I’m always looking for new products to try.
thanks for sharing I need to develop a better skin care routine.
Your skin looks great so I assume they are working!
Cool thanks for sharing.
I’m not so great at taking care of my poor face at night but this has given me some good ideas. Do you have any suggestions for a light daytime moisturizer?
I use a make-up remover wipe to take off my make-up, then I use Avene cleanser and wash my face after I use witchhazel as a toner and then a light SPF30 (in for night!) moisturizer – that’s it!
I like your night time regime, my routine differs most night but have similar ending. I either wash my face with my new grapefruit cleanser, pat dry then use my derma roller over my face then apply my toner then serum then moisturizers and other times I just wash then use the serum or the toner and hydrant and that’s it.
This was very helpful. I am really bad at doing skincare haha. ๐
This is so helpful! I never know what to put on when! Thanks! ๐
